Manifesto
What is the manifesto?
Hi everybody
This is very important it is about our manifesto.
A manifesto is a list of our needs and wants put together to form a document – with deadlines when they are to be done by.
Over the years we have been asking the politicians for what we want, good accommodation, better trained social workers and minimum wages. But they haven't done anything about it – have they? Well we have! And this is it - a manifesto – our manifesto.
It was hard work to make it. A group of learning disabled people got together and after putting all the needs and wants down we had about 27 different points. But because it needs to be punchy and clear enough for even the politicians to understand we brought it down to nine strong points bearing in mind that people living in rural areas needs are different from those in cities. We have then sent it out to all the people first groups, asking you to give us your thoughts and ideas about it. In case somebody didn't tell you – you did a good job. Thank you.
We have been asking for too long, so from now on we will EXPECT good accommodation, better trained social workers, minimum wage and so on.

What you can do to help
This is what we are going to present to the politicians and ministers, and we will hold them responsible to it! If they don't listen and DO what we want we will make it public. We will go to the media, the TV the newspapers, and we will tell our local organisations, our friends and families not to vote for them. So it will be up to you, you and me, each of us to make sure that they do it.
This is your manifesto you need to campaign for it as well.
Find out who your AM is and take it to them.
Find other people to support it and get them to agree to have their photo taken holding it.
We want you to send us your photos so we can put them all together and show just how much support we have!
Latest News
We have run all our hustings, we have met the politicians and have sent you an election special Talkback magazine telling you what they said.
Now you need to make sure that you go and vote!
Don't forget the All Wales People First Manifesto will only change things if enough people vote for the candidates who support it!
Remember at the election you will have two votes one for your local area and one for the region.
